Jordan has its own HD sports channel, broadcast via satellite and available free of charge.

Jordan has expanded its satellite broadcasting with another program. It will delight all fans of free television programs, as well as sports fans. A completely free sports channel, simply called Jordan Sports Channel HD, is broadcast from this country via satellite.

The station appeared on the Badr 8 satellite, located in orbit at 26 degrees east longitude, on a frequency of 12.054 GHz with vertical polarization. Multiplex broadcasting is carried out from a transponder in the EMENA beam (Europe + Middle East + North Africa), which means the program can be received even in the Central European region using satellite dishes with a diameter of approximately 100 cm.

The channel's mission is to broadcast sports content and programs popular among viewers in Jordan.

This package also includes the main Jordanian TV channel, as well as the banned Russian news channels RT News (in English) and RT Arabic (in Arabic). RT channels can broadcast on this satellite, since they are not subject to Western sanctions.

Technical specifications - Jordan Sports Channel HD:

• Badr 8 (26° E), frequency 12.054 GHz, pole V, SR 27500, FEC 5/6, DVB-S/QPSK

ESPN is switching to 4K HDR in the US

ESPN and ESPN2 have begun a phased transition to 4K HDR in the U.S. The new format will include broadcasts of the NFL, NBA, NHL, select college football and tennis games, as well as major events like Super Bowl LXI.
"This will provide sharper contours, richer colors, and smoother motion,"
— ESPN announced.

The first 4K HDR was received by iPhone/iPad and Apple TV 4K through the ESPN application. Support will be expanded to other Smart TV platforms and Disney+ in the US in the future. ESPN will also be able to transmit a 4K HDR signal to traditional and digital pay operators.

The company notes that for the launch it was necessary to modernize the entire signal delivery chain — from broadcast production to its display on the screen.

Man City management asked Maresca to calm the club's players amid the scandal

The owner, chairman, and CEO of Manchester City have asked head coach Enzo Maresca to speak with the players amid the allegations against the club, The Touchline reports.

According to a source, Manchester City executives want Maresca to reassure the players that the issues will be resolved successfully. The club maintains its innocence and is keen to prevent the uncertainty surrounding the case from affecting the team's concentration, confidence, and results.

Manchester City was previously found guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules. It was also reported that, due to numerous violations, the club could face expulsion from the Premier League and the stripping of its titles.

Major personnel changes at Eleven Sports

Polish Eleven Sports is undergoing a staff shake-up. Dominik Adamowski, who previously worked at Ekstraklasa Live Park, has joined the team. He will work both in front of the camera on TV channels and on YouTube.
"You can see Dominic both on air and on our YouTube channel. Welcome aboard!"
— Eleven Sports reported.

At the same time, after 11 years of work, the channel is leaving one of its most famous commentators, Sebastian Habiniak. He will work with Eleven Sports until the end of 2026.
"We decided together that the time had come to end our collaboration. We thank Sebastian for 11 years of work on the station projects,"
— the Eleven Sports press service said.

Another change — Michal Obrembski officially became PR Manager of Eleven Sports in August, moving to work directly with the broadcaster after working through a PR agency.

The personnel changes come against the backdrop of restructuring Eleven Sports' sports offering: the channel lost the rights to LaLiga, but will broadcast WTA Tour tournaments from 2027 and is preparing to launch a new channel, Eleven Extra .
